As the new year rolls in, the internet begans to flood with the phrase, “New Year, New Me”. The reality is this will take quite some time to manifest. Change is already a challenge in itself and it’s going to be an even greater challenge to let go of old habits and behavior patterns that have shaped the majority of our lives. The good news is knowing that it can be done when we surrender to Christ and let His Will be done in our lives.
I speak of this because there may be someone who seeks change, but is trying to do it in their own strength. When we take matters into our own hands, we can create unnecessary situations that we want God to fix for us. A new you will manifest when you repent of your sins, surrender to Christ, and renew your mind. Christ works on the inside before we truly began to see our lives bring forth the fruits of The Spirit. Until next time, pray for me and I’ll pray for you.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2 KJV
