There are still people in the world who have decided to remain single, not that they’re all mentally unstable or bitter, but they have realized they truly need healing. They know that this healing does not come from accomplishments, awards, material possessions, money, relationships, etc. They are aware that true healing comes from repentance and being obedient to Christ.
The moment we began to think that people can fill our voids better than the love Christ can give, we can end up really hurt. People often tend to give us conditional love, but unconditional love comes from Christ. A love that forgives, corrects our wrong ways, provides protection, grants grace and mercy when we don’t deserve it, and equips us for assignments He called us to do.
I speak of this because there may be someone who feels like time is running out and love seems to be passing them by. I want to tell you that this season of singleness may be just the time to build a healthy and real relationship with God. There is nothing wrong with you for wanting to heal from bad relationship patterns, people bondage, addictions, character flaws, or insecurities. Build a solid foundation with knowing who God is and He will show you what He wants you to do. Until next time, pray for me and I’ll pray for you.
“And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 3:5 KJV
