Wait a minute! Before we even attempt to dismiss the real issue behind someone’s anger to label them “evil”, we should try to understand. Sometimes that anger is only masking a lot of pain, guilt, or even regret. Although there are times people will try to justify their anger, the root cause will always reveal being disconnected from The Most High God.
The Word of God states that in our anger, we must not sin. There are times when we want others to feel like they made us feel, but vindication belongs to God so allow Him to deal with those who hurt us. It only ends in more discord and destruction when we act on our fickle emotions.
I speak of this because there is someone who has been struggling to check their anger issues. I can tell you from experience that the more I dismissed the obvious issue, the more I created my own drama. It is time to stop hiding and denying it from God. You can talk to God about these issues because He doesn’t want us to perish in our sins and foolishness. Being honest about your anger issues is a step to growth and spiritual maturity. Seek God in your quiet place and repent of that anger. Don’t let the enemy keep you bound by that nasty stronghold. Keep praying, pressing forward, and seeking His instructions. Until next time, pray for me and I’ll pray for you.
A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Proverbs 15:18 KJV
